Every ship has some sort of formal night at least once but you don't have to attend on this one. Missed out on meeting the captain but had fun at the casual area set up for those who choose not to go formal. We decided to have a coffee at the end and the dear waitress bought a few of those tiny, teeny, baby milk things that have a thimble of milk in them. 25 of them later and our drinks had sufficient milk......and lots of laughter as well. A other drink at the bar then bedtime for a day in Turkey.

Up and out of the ship as soon as we could and walked and found a taxi to take us to Ephesus. A very interesting place, old ruins and still searching for more. It was beautiful but very hot and towards the end extremely crowded, a bit like going to the MCG to see Collingwood vs Carlton and trying to walk back to the train station.

The ruins were awe inspiring and reminded me of watching Troy however we kept on looking at the hills behind and even though not near Gallipoli our minds went back to our ANZAC soldiers and the price they paid.
Back to to dock and wandered around part of the town that had markets, a bit like Bali but clean......after a while every shop had the same stuff in it. You could buy Genuine Fake Watches, leather jackets, tshirts etc etc. Had some awesome Turkish food for lunch, then more wandering. A drink at a bar near the ship then back on board, snooze (for me anyway), then shower then dinner.
A great day, tomorrow we are in Greece.
